TAMPA -- When clocks "fall back" for winter, sprinkler timers need to go back an hour too.
Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday (Nov. 5th) and not adjusting timers could result in violations of watering restrictions, and possibly fines.
David Glicksberg is a sustainable water resources manager for Hillsborough County's Environmental Services Department. He says sprinkler timers are fairly easy to adjust, and the county's extension service can help.
Glicksberg also recommends cutting back lawn watering to once every 10 to 14 days. It's to help conserve water during Florida's dry season, after a disappointing summer rainy season.
