TAMPA -- Stranded, but no motorist. A Florida Highway Patrol trooper pulled over to assist a nine-foot alligator stuck in the shoulder on the Selmon Expressway Sunday.
FHP says the trooper called in a trapper and the gator got towed out of danger.
It is not believed the reptile will receive a ticket or toll invoice.
