Rays Beat Blue Jays For Fourth Straight Win

The Tampa Bay Rays (25-26) defeated the Toronto Blue Jays (25-26) 3-1 on Saturday night at Steinbrenner Field. The Rays have now won four in a row, including the first two of a three-game series against the Blue Jays.

Junior Caminero hit a three-run homer in the first inning that would prove to be all the offense the Rays would need. From there, Shane Baz (4-3, 4.94) took care of business, pitching five and two-third innings in which he allowed one earned run on four hits while striking out four and walking three. Pete Fairbanks worked a scoreless ninth to pick up the win.

The Rays will now look to sweep the Blue Jays coming up on Sunday afternoon. First pitch from Steinbrenner Field is scheduled for 1:40 PM on Sunday - pregame coverage begins with Chris Adams-Wall hosting This Week In Rays Baseball at high noon on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
