A Broward County man is locked up on the Treasure Coast, accused of attempting to smuggle contraband into a state prison.
32-year old Tarik Jean-Jourdain was arrested after being found with another person in a restricted area near the Martin County Correctional Institution in Indiantown.
Department of Corrections officers found two trash bags full of meth, alcohol, marijuana, and items like cell phones, clothing, deodorant and cigarettes.
The second person got away and Martin County Sheriff William Snyder tells CBS 12 News that an investigation is well underway to find who else was involved.
"They are working now diligently to try to find out who on the inside was the contact person facilitating this large contraband drop."
They're also looking the person who was with Jean-Jourdain, who had several outstanding arrest warrants.
He is being held on several charges.
