Homeless Man Arrested For Lewd Comments To 10-Year-Old Girl At Red Light

Miami-Dade County, FL - A 56-year-old homeless man in Miami-Dade County has been arrested for allegedly making lewd comments to a 10-year-old girl at a red light in The Hammocks neighborhood.

The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Southwest 104th Street and 147th Avenue.

According to the arrest report, the man approached the passenger side of a car stopped at the light, where the young girl was seated, and tapped on the window multiple times.

He then reportedly made inappropriate comments and gestures toward the child.

The girl's mother quickly drove away and contacted the police.

Authorities located and arrested the suspect, identified as Ronald Jean-Baptiste.

He faces a felony charge of lewd and lascivious conduct on a child under 16.

As of Thursday, Jean-Baptiste was held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, with bond yet to be set.

Records also indicate he has three bench warrants for battery and trespassing.
