Miami, FL - Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill recently underwent surgery to repair ligament damage in his wrist, but he is on track to be ready for training camp.

Head coach Mike McDaniel confirmed Tuesday at the NFL Scouting Combine that while initial reports suggested Hill had a broken wrist, the issue was actually a ligament injury that required surgical intervention.

The star receiver sustained the injury in August 2024 during a joint practice with the Washington Commanders but played through the entire season despite the setback.

Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, previously stated in January that medical professionals had recommended surgery during the season, but Hill chose to delay the procedure until after Miami's campaign ended.

Despite playing through the injury, he recorded 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns in the 2024 season.

The Dolphins' playoff hopes were dashed after a season-ending loss to the New York Jets, following which Hill expressed frustration and suggested he might consider playing elsewhere.

However, he later walked back those remarks, attributing them to emotions running high after the disappointing finish.

Hill, who turns 31 in March, signed a lucrative three-year, $90 million contract extension with the Dolphins before the 2024 season, securing $59 million in guaranteed money.
