Hoffman's Chocolates has closed its flagship South Florida location which first opened in 1975.

The company confirms that it has shut down its Greenacres store, where chocolates were once made for all its other sites.

A company spokesperson says Hoffman's had sold the building along Lake Worth Road back in 2022 to another company and the new owner has other plans for the building.

The Greenacres Hoffman's location was once popular for its Christmas displays in a garden surrounding the building. That event ceased to exist several years ago.

Hoffman's other five shops remain open in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach Gardens and Plantation.
